ABOUT MUSSEL BAR Baltimore

Chef Robert Wiedmaier's Mussel Bar & Grille evokes nostalgic memories of the roadside dives outside Brussels that he used to haunt in his youth, after-hours, with fellow cooks. With locations in Bethesda, MD., Arlington, VA., the Revel in Atlantic City, N.J. and Baltimore, MD, each establishment has a distinctly rock and roll vibe; from rustic wood to industrial statements.

Much more than mussels, Mussel Bar Bar & Grille offers a wide range of casual dining fare that includes wood-fired dishes of meats and fish and a stand-out selection of craft and Belgian beers.  

At each establishment, guests can enjoy a dramatic view of the open kitchen and a relaxed and playful atmosphere illuminated by monumental glass-fronted beer coolers and beer bottles cleverly repurposed as light fixtures.

Each Mussel Bar & Grille also features  Antigoon - the private label of chef Robert Wiedmaier, an official Belgian beer knight [as enthroned by the Brewers Mashstaff in Brussels in 2012], created for him by the brewers Brouwerij de Musketiers from Ursel Belgium.

Mussel Bar & Grille's  private dining rooms offer a perfect location for your next gathering. With rooms to accommodate anything from cocktail parties to sit-down dinners, our dedicated events team strives to serve up the best in quality and service for you and your guests. From rehearsal dinners or corporate receptions we look forward to working with you to plan your next event.

Private dining areas at Mussel Bar & Grille include the Antigoon Room and the Cry Baby Lounge. The private Antigoon Room can seat 35 guests and accommodate 40 standing patrons. It features a 52" Plasma TV with AV capabilities and a colorful wall decorated with Antigoon beer bottles - the private label of Chef Robert Wiedmaier - brewed exclusively for the restaurant in Belgium. The Cry Baby Lounge is a semi-private and heavily draped area that can accommodate 50 standing guests, and features a 70" Plasma TV with AV capabilities. The entire restaurant can also be reserved for the night, accommodating up to 300 guests.
